International cricket is going on in full flow across the world. There are games of every format but the main focus is on T 20 cricket because the ICC T20 World cup is not far away. In this post, we will talk about the India tour of West Indies 2022.
India is playing such great cricket after the IPL and they haven't lost a single series so far. In the last series, They have beaten England in their home conditions by playing such good cricket. They are on the right path before T20 World Cup but are some minor issues. They will be looking at KL Rahul closely as he making a comeback in this series and he is the permanent member of the T20 squad. They will be looking for their 3rd seamer also. West Indies have lost their last 2 ODI series against Bangladesh and Pakistan but they managed to win the T20 series against Bangladesh. Schedule of India's tour of West Indies 2022
1st ODI: 22nd July 2022 at Port of Spain at 6:30pm
India won by just 3 runs after a thriller. Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged player of the match for his fabulous 97 runs.
2nd ODI: 24th July at Port of Spain at 6:30pm
India won the 2nd ODI by just 2 wickets with the help of some fine knock by Axar Patel. He scored 64 from 35 and won the player of the match award also.
3rd ODI : 27th July at Port of Spain at 6:30pm
India won the final ODI by 119 runs and clean swept the series. That was the rain-affected match where Shubman Gill scored 98 not out and got the award of player of the match.
1st T20: 29th July at Tarouba at 7:30pm
India won the 1st T20 by 68 runs. India batted 1st and scored 190 runs Rohit Sharma scored 64 and Karthik gave the finishing touch with 41 off just 19 balls. In reply, West Indies batters went nowhere and they were falling apart. Dinesh Karthik was adjudged player of the match for his fine innings.
2nd T20: 1st August at Basseterre at 7:30pm
In the 2nd T20 West Indies finally made a comeback and got their 1st win of the recent series against India. It started right from 1st ball when Rohit Sharma was out on a golden duck off Obaid McCoy. So Indian batters against left-arm pacers love continues. McCoy got 6/17 to reduce India to just 138. Then Brendon King was superb with the bat and scored a fine 68. Somehow it went to the final over but this West Indies hold the nerve and got over the line. So now series level at 1-1. Obaid Maccoy was the player of the match for his sensational figures.
3rd T20: 2nd August at Basseterre at 7:30pm
India made a comeback in the series and outclass the home side by 7 wickets. West Indies put 164 on the board which was looking like a good one but it wasn't. Surya Kumar Yadav played the fine innings of 76 from 44 and helped his side to chase the total in the 19th over. He was the player of the match for this match-winning knock.
4th T20: 6th August at Lauderhill at 7:30pm
India got the inaccessible lead of 3-1 after the 4th T20. India scored 191/5 and it was too much for the home side. West Indies was all out on just 132 inside 19.1 overs. Avesh Khan got the player of the match.
5th T20: 7th August at Lauderhill at 7:30pm
