The 1st assignment of Pakistan Domestic Season is done with National T20 Cup has finished in some style. The most important thing is that defending champions have defended their title successfully. It means they are playing some serious cricket for the last 2 to 3 years. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has won the National T20 Cup 2nd time in a row and their Stand in Captain Iftikhar Ahmad has done it single-handedly, he was in form of his life with both bat and ball.
CHAMPIONS OF NATIONAL T20 CUP
In 1st half, Muhammad Rizwan led the team really well and then Iftikhar was in the most critical situation, and in knock-out games, he was just splendid. That was a complete team effort where everyone contributed when it was needed. Imran Khan Sr.got the most wickets and Sahbzada Farhan scored the most runs in the tournament and then Iftikhar Ahmad got the award of Man of the Tournament.

The trend was good in the tournament every team has played very good cricket but no one caught the eye, Abdullah Shafique was really good with the bat and I think he played 1st time at any level after the last National T20 Cup. Because he traveled with the national side and got the chance in T20 when Pakistan was on a tour of New Zealand. But he looked a serious talent and technically really correct. Let's hope we will see him on a higher level. Balochistan was the weakest side to me but their captain Imam ul Haq has done brilliant captaincy at the end they lost a couple of games themselves. Azam Khan was the biggest flop of the tournament, he played for the Southern Punjab which was a really young and exciting team but they finished at bottom of the table their three big names Sohaib Maqsood, Khushdil Shah and Azam Khan were selected in World Cup squad but after that performance, they all were dropped from the squad.
APPROACH OF OTHER TEAMS TOWARDS THE GAME
Northern Punjab was a really exciting team to watch out for, last time Muhammad Waseem was the coach of the side and changed the mindset of the players and they played really aggressive cricket and the trend continued this year also even with new players when their key players had to go for national duty.
CENTRAL PUNJAB was another exciting side to watch out for under the captaincy of Babr Azam they were eliminated in 1st round last season but they came back really well and showed great character and qualified for the final. They were full of experience and that paid off also but their youngsters couldn't come to the party on big occasions in Semi-Final and Final just 2 batsmen Ahmad and Kamran were good but after that, they collapse badly and hence couldn't get enough total. Everyone wanted to get in and wanted to have some fun with the bat by hitting the long ball. But their journey was cut down by Iftikhar and Co.

Overall that was great entertainment especially when everyone was disappointed after that cancellation of 2 series against New Zealand and England. National players put on a great show for their fans and provided the reason to smile.
TIME FOR WORLD CUP
Now, this is the time for National Colour and we have to support our side to do well in all important tournament, which is going to start from 17th October and Pakistan will be up against arch rivals India on 24th October. So mark your calendars for the high-class thriller.
