Review of 1ST ODI BETWEEN PAK vs ENG

 Cricket is very unpredictable and funny game and that's why we love it and if be unpredictable is an art then Pakistani cricket team is Picasso of it.They just find the way to win the games out of no where and they can do the vice versa of it and we have seen this many times in our cricket life. 

They won the  Champions Trophy after just qualifying from no.8 and they beat hot favourite India in all important final. 

Let's come to this game 

After Covid threat to English main side they just announced their 2nd side in just 3 hours with 9 uncapped players and that's shows you the depth of their cricket and that's why they are no.1 side in ODI.We have seen that India announed their 2 nd squad for the tour of Sri Lanka and now England has done the same thing.Pakistan could have easily withdraw from this series but they didn't do that and series started with his original schedule.Pakistan couldn't win the series in 45 years and now it is a golden chance to win the series.

Pakistan's collapse

that Pakistan's middle order hasn't been upto the mark and when your middle order is out of form then you are just few balls away from big collapse and that happened in this match where Saqib Mahmood was the star of the show and he almost got the match in 1st over with getting Imam on 1st ball duck and then no.1 ODI batsman Babar on 2 ball duck to destroy the Pakistan's line up.

After that Gregory got inform Rizwan with absolute Jaffa after that it was never easy to come back in the game from Pakistan.Then Parkinson joined the party and Sohaib run out was the more destruction.That was the point where Pakistan could amke a comeback but that couldn't happen because they both Fakhar and Sohaib were playing well and building the innings.I think it was all the presurre that let down them otherwise they could get round about 200 if they were playing some small team.But England didn't change their approach with the whole new squad and things happened for them.

It could have been more humiliation if Shadab couldn't get those runs and it helped Pakistan to reach 141 in just 35.2 overs. Fakher Zaman was top scorer with 47 and Saqib Mahmood was the star for England with 4 wickets 

In the chase Pakistan's new ball specialist Shaheen Afridi got breakthrough early but after that Dawid Malan and Zak Crawley build a nice partnership.In a short chase there is always a case of just 1 partnership and that partnership was enough to get over the line with 9 wickets in hand and that was a really crushing defeat for Pakistan.Dawid Malan and Crawley both scored fifties and hammered Pakistan in just 22 overs.

That was a just good day for England and they hammered Pakistan but Pakistan still is having a chance to come back in the series and they can do it with the form of Babar,Fakher and Rizwan.But they need to show little bit more responsibility and this middle order looks more solid but we all know that it is all about the performance on particular day and i hope that Pakistan will turn things in next games.
