Zimbabwe Vs Bangladesh
ODI series between these 2 sides has finished and it was dominated by Bangladesh as they won with 3-0.After that horrible display in 1st ODI Zimbabwe played better cricket but not much better than opposition but there were few positive things for them. In 2nd ODI they lost the match that they should have won but brilliant display of skills and determination from Shakib Al Hasan to get his side over the line with his 95 not out and they chased down 270 round about.
In 3rd ODI Zimbabwe batted brilliantly and they got 298 on the board with the help Regis Chakabve career best 84 and then marvellous finishing touch by Sikandar and Ryan Burl.But that was not enough also.
In chase Bangladesh started well and their captain Tamim Iqbal hammered a great ton 112 on just 97 which set the tone.They crumbled a bit in middle period but Nurul Hassan and Afif Hussein gave the finishing touch and got their side to victory.
So Bangladesh will be happier side after completing that clean sweep and their key man Shakib Al Hassan back in form with bang with bat bowl and Zimbabwe will be distraught with their performance especially in last 2 matches they batted brilliantly but their bowling and fielding wasn't upto the mark and they have to sort out things.
Sri Lanka Vs India
Another series between 2 Asian sides has kicked off with India's B side if you don't mind.First Australia introduced their B side in start of this year against New Zealand when their main side has to play against South Africa but that couldn't happen because of Covid and they sent their other group of players in New Zealand.After that England did the same thing when their players were effected by Covid and they have to announce other side and did pretty decent job.
And it's India's turn to introduce their 2nd side because their main team is in England and they will play test series there in next few days.
So against Sri Lanka in 1st ODI they absolutely thrashed them by chasing the target around 270 they finished the match quite easily.At the top Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan were ruthless and then Ishan Kishan with his fearless approach after thaySKY with his all class made things easy for them.Most importantly their spin dou Kul-Cha were back in form with wickets in middle overs.
In 2nd ODI Sri Lanka started well with bat but they couldn't captalize on their start and lost their way in middle period but they came back nicely at the end with Aslanka's fifty and Chamika Karunaratne scored handy 44 from just 33 balls to get 275 on the board which was fighting total.
In the chase India stared in their own way but this time was different story as Hasaranga got Shaw early and then Kishan went early after that they build a nice partnership with Manish and SKY but after that Pandey was run out in unlucky way and Pandya went early on duck.
What about Deepak Chahar's batting abilities he won the game for India out of nowhere 87 required with 3 wickets spare and they done it in some style Deepak scored 69 not out to see them through.
That was Sri Lanka's game to lose and they did it without any hesitation and lost 9th consecutive bilateral series against India.That's show the depth of Indian side.
Pakistan Vs England
Pakistan batted first in series decider after winning the toss and it was hard outing for Pakistan's batsmen except Rizwan he carried through the innings and Pakistan got competitive total of 155.
In chase that was brilliant start from England's openers as they put 67 in 8 overs. But they lost the way in middle overs when spinners came to the party.At one moment England required 39 in last 4 overs then Morgan and Malan build a nice partnership and then killer blow from Livingstone almost done the job. Jason Roy scored magnificent 64 and got man of the match and Livingstone was man of the series.
Although that was a competitive series for both sides and it finished with English domination.Pakistan middle order problems continues and they to sort out as early as possible because World Cup is not far away.
Australia Vs West Indies
Australia is back in their favourite format after that huge defeat in T20s Australia likes the longer format and it started with the bang for them they couldn't post a huge total on the board in rain affected match.Their new captain Alex Carey was the top scorer to get 249 on the board.
But in the chase their new ball specialists Hazlewood and Starc destroyed them.Starc for fifer and Hazlewood got 3 wickets and West Indies was all out on just 123 on the board.Australia's main players were still not available but their young players came to the party and their experienced players were chief destroyers.
