The grand party of cricket has started in Karachi(Pakistan) from 20th February and every team has played his first match.Let's talk about opening matches of every team.
Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators
Opening match was played between Kings and Gladiators where defending champions completely dominated them.Sarfraz opened the innings but could not do well the only postive in the innings was Gayle who scored 39 but nobody stayed on the wicket and they could not play 20 overs.Arshad Iqbal was the star who got three wickets.
While chasing Joe Clarke and Nabi were the stars with the bat and they finished the chase early and easily.
Lahore Qalandars vs Peshawar Zalmi
2nd match was between Zalmi and Qalandars where second was victorious Shaheen started things with first ball wicket and then Peshawar never recovered.
In the chasr Qalandars tumbled a little bit but Hafeez and Rashid made sure a first opening win for Qalandars.
Multan Sultans vs Islamabad United
Two time champions Islamabad United started their compaign wuth a win over Sultans that a was a close match though but Multan could not get over the line.Rizwan played well for 73 but apart all batsmen could not get going because of that they posted just a par total.
In the chase Hales started well but when Afridi came there was drama because United lost 6 for just about 80 because of some good bowling but more than poor shot selection but thanks to Gregory and Faheem they build a partnership and Gregory got the team over the line.At one moment Multans were favourite to win but 19th over from Sohail Tanveer went for 19 and match was finished there.
Gladiators vs Qalandars
4th match of PSL was between these two sides Quetta changed the combination a bit where Sarfraz came at four and played a handy knock on the other side Gayle played a superb innings and a good finish from Nawaz they posted 178 but that was not enough.
Hafeez and Fakhar went brisk at them especially Hafeez the way he is playing is absolute class and elegant.
They chased down the with the lose of just one wicket and in the chase you need to keep wickets in hand that's what Hafeez and Fakhar has done.
On the other hand Quetta and Sarfraz looking really disturbed and little bit over thinking as well.Firstly their mentor is not with them and Sarfraz has not the habit of losing matches like this they are always a good side but in this season they are looking little bit rusty.They have not choose local players like Shahzad and Omer that's why they are relying heavily on foreign players which is not good.In bowling department they have really good young bowlers but they are not consistent in their line and length which cost them a match against Qalandars.Still a long way to go Sarfraz need to bit calm and need to keep things simple and focus on just his side not his place in Pakistan side no need to over think as well because we know Islamabad was down in the 1st season but they came back really well and bacame tha champions so no need to panic for any side so far.
