So finally it's over and it was Australia that finished on a winning note in the format which is Pakistan's favorite. They got over the line in the last over of the game with 3 wickets to spare. Let's take a deep dive into it.
Review of the Only T20
After that historic ODI series win, Pakistan was definitely the favorite side to win the T20 series but Kangaroos were also ready to hit the final punch. Ideally, Aaron Finch finally won the toss and elected to bowl 1st which happened 1st time for him. Babar and Rizwan were off to a solid start as always Pakistan was 22/0 after 3 overs then the Pakistan captain put the foot on the gas and finished well in the power play by scoring 56/0. Then most difficult session came in the way of Pakistan's batters, the middle overs. They lost Rizwan and Fakhar in 2 balls against debutant Cameron Green and that was the point where things turned. Babar, as Usual, was slow in middle overs but he compiled another 50. He scored 66 but the rest of the lineup lost the way. The situation could have been worse but Usman Qadir played a valuable cameo to give something to the bowlers. Pakistan finished on 162 which was under par Nathan Ellis picked 4 wickets for Australia.
In the chase, Aaron Finch who was under the pump throughout the tour finally found his touch, and from the other side, Travis Head started in his own way. Shaheen Afridi went for 3 boundaries in his 1st over and that should sum up the story. They kept attacking despite losing the wickets but the 19th over from Shaheen Afridi gave some spark, Australia required 5 in 12 balls but Shaheen gave away just a single and got 2 wickets. But Macdermott took just one ball from the final to see his side home. Pakistan was hugely disappointed because T20 has been their strength but they lost the way completely and gave an easy win to the visitors.

What did Pakistan Cricket achieve through this tour?
Finally, the historic Australia tour of Pakistan has finished and we all know it took 24 long years to happen but Pakistan finally did it. Now let's check what Pakistan achieved from this tour?
That was a huge breakthrough for Pakistan cricket, especially after the cancellation of England and New Zealand. Once again Pakistan was drowning but Aussies came to the rescue with their full strength squad to bail out Pakistan. This will inspire the next generation also to take the part in this game because we have seen a lot of these World Champions on the TV but watching them from the stands in front of your own eyes is completely a different feeling. Pakistani fans were also supporting Australians and they were also cheering for them. Hospitality was great every single person from the squad told that and they enjoyed that playing here in Pakistan. Cricket is all about learning not only from your teammates but from your competitors also and Pakistan's players should have done this by sharing the field with the best in the business. Pakistan players got the opportunity to play against probably the best side on their home ground and that's helped them a lot to improve their skills in front of their home crowd. This is the main thing that Pakistani players were missing in the last 10 years.
Babar stamped his authority
Babar Azam is probably the best batter currently and he avails this opportunity with both hands. He scored match-saving 196 in the test and then he moved to his favorite format. He missed the hundred in 1st match and that's why Pakistan lost the match but he didn't repeat the mistake again and scored 2 consecutive hundreds and got his side over the line.

He was the fastest to score 16 hundred and 2nd fastest to 4000 runs after Hashim Amla. He won the player of the series award in ODIs than in only T20 he scored 66 runs but Pakistan lost that match by 3 wickets.
There was a lot of talk about pitches in test matches because those were very slow wickets but Australia managed to find a way to clinch the series.That was the 1st series win for Australia since 2011. Then in ODIs these were flat wickets and Pakistan was having a better bowling attack than Aussie's and won the series comfortably.That was the 1st ODI series win for Pakistan against Australia since 2002.
So that's the end of the historic series and now there is much time for rest for Pakistan cricketers and the next series will be against West Indies in June. On the other side, some the Australian stars will feature in IPL and others will take a rest.
