 ICC World T20 World Cup is going in full flow in UAE and we are watching almost everything some farewells some heartbreaks, some ruthless cricket, and some class bowling performance in the past week. And most importantly we have got our 4 semifinalists and these 4 teams have played some serious cricket in the past 2 weeks. These 4 teams are Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, and world no.1 England. We will talk about the top 5 cricket news of the week.

1. Humiliation for India 

I think India was the most favorite team of the tournament but cricket is really cruel and ruthless and it doesn't take anybody seriously until if you give it respect and play the right manners and attitude. India got a good combination in warm-up matches but against pressure game against Pakistan they exposed really badly and after that, they took time to recover but it was too late. They lost the match against Pakistan and then they were humiliated against New Zealand and the way they played that game was just ridiculous.

1st they changed their batting order and that cost them the match. After that, they recovered well but it was too late and now they are officially out of the tournament. This was Virat Kohli's last tournament as captain and couldn't fulfill the expectations but his services will be missed on the field his aggression and passion towards the game were truly unmatchable.

Will we see vintage Virat again?

Only time will tell us how he goes this time without the burden of captaincy but he should be relieved now because captaincy always puts extra pressure and stress on you. 

2.Utmost consistency of Pakistan

Pakistan has played stunning cricket in the past 2 weeks before coming in this tournament they were having some issues because New Zealand left the tour without play and England called off the tour and that hurt Pakistan really badly but they gave them a perfect reply on the ground in the most dominant way. They have got deadly combination and everybody is doing is work and playing his role perfectly whenever it's required and that's the symbol of a great team. Pakistan is the only undefeated side in the tournament so far and that should sum up the story. They have covered every base of the game with the brilliance of Babar, Ruthless Rizwan and then in bowling swing of Shaheen and pace of Haris putting a great show. They are just 2 steps away from the glory and they will play a semi-final against mighty Australia so hope for the best. 

3.Heartbreak for South Africa 

Oh, South Africa and losing with very little margins is still a better love story than anything else. They have played some great cricket in the last one year or so and I also picked it as semi-finalists but cricket is the game of very close margins. They lost their opening match against Australia in the last over but after that, they played some serious cricket and won the remaining matches and beat one of the most dangerous side England also. They finished at 8 points which were equal with England and Australia but South Africa got eliminated because of Net Run Rate. And with that, the wait continues for them of winning a trophy but they can hold their heads really because of their performance. They have finally found a great combination of aggression and defense after that they have raw pace and some good spinners. So after the retirement of ABD and Faf, they are back on the track we can say. 

4.End of the career of Champions

Cricket is a very ruthless and cruel game and because it always takes the best out of you and if you are not at your best it doesn't pay respect to you and forget everything that you have done for it. We have a prime example of that in the shape of Chris Gayle's career if we set the criteria for the legend of T20 he will fulfill every requirement but the way he ended his career was not great to watch for cricket fans. Because we love this man and were wanting him to finish on high but cricket has its own ups and downs. But cricket will never see another Chris Gayle and bowlers will feel pretty relaxed now he hasn't said that officially but intentions are clear that he won't be playing next World Cup which is only one year away. One more player from this team said goodbye to cricket and it was DJ Bravo and what entertainer he was a true champion on and off the field he was a true fighter and great competitor in the game and cricket will surely miss him a lot.

5. Aussies back in the groove 

Nobody thinks that Australia will be in the semis after their past performances in T20 cricket they lost 3 consecutive series and lost to Bangladesh by 4-1 before coming into the mega event but they showed the resilience and pure Australian DNA to get into the semi-finals. They regain themselves with genuine test match bowlers and one spinner Adam Zampa which are proving their worth in this tournament. That was the 1st time where Starc, Cummins, and Hazlewood played together in a T20 match. Right from there, they are spot on like their line and length in test matches and after that, the form of David Warner was a huge boost for them and made things easier for them to go further.

Another huge news is West Indies and Sri Lanka will play a qualifying round for the next T20 World Cup as well and Bangladesh has qualified in super 8. So it will be very sad to see 2-time champions and the one-time winners will play the qualifying round.
