Hello and a warm welcome to all our readers, so after the passage of 5 years we have finally found a new champion of ICC T20 World Cup and it is none other than Team Australia, Mighty Australia. It has been a great story for them because they were no way near there in the last 6 months they lost the series in West Indies and then in Bangladesh yes their team was missing some players but they weren't at their best.
But when they came into this tournament The whole story was different they got a great combination and most importantly they backed their strength.
The strength of Australia
I think they didn't take serious T20 cricket in the last 2 years or so because they have lost their last 5 bilateral series but suddenly they changed their mindset and approach towards this format as well. They didn't rely on the specialists of T20 cricket like Chris Lynn, Ben Macdermott, and Andrew Tye and they backed their premium test fast bowlers in this format also and they lead them to glory. In cricket, they say batsmen can win you a game but bowlers can win you a tournament, and Australia has done the same thing. Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc bowled really well throughout the tournament and especially in death overs and on those pitches which don't suit them but adaptability from them was on another level. So three premium fast bowlers which can bowl on 140 and can swing the ball were truly a challenge for every side to tackle. Then Adam Zampa what a great character he has been on this side. He controlled the game nicely in middle overs and continued to get wickets as well.It was not an easy job for him to do when there is a part-timer from the other end who can leak all the pressure but he was up to the challenge. In one game against England, he went for 0/37 but except that he was just splendid with the ball.

Let's talk about their batting now.
Team Australia added an extra batsman in place of a specialist bowler and they sneaked 4 overs between part-timers in every game, against England they dropped Mitchell Marsh for Ashton Agar but that decision went all wrong but a good thing is they felt it after just a single game and got Mitchell Marsh back who became the Hero for Australia. He has been splendid throughout the tournament and he left an impact in every game that he played.No.3 is normally a very complicated position and your best batsman plays at no. 3 and Mitchell Marsh has proved his worth at this position. After that David Warner was also an unsung hero for Australia he wasn't in the best form in IPL and was dropped from the team which helped him to regain the focus for his national side and when your 2 batsmen at top order are in the form then your most of the problems are pretty solved.

Utmost consistency of New Zealand
Oh, another heartbreak for Kane Williamson and Co. They are just too good in every format of the game but these finals are hurting them a lot and they are so close but so so far. From 2015 onwards they are nearly the best team in every format of the game with their limited sources and their planning and execution but when it comes to the final somehow they lost their best part of the game. The list of the heartbreaks is growing up they lost the 2015 final against Australia and then the 2019 final against England with the narrowest margin after that they won the ICC test championship final against India but now they couldn't reach the glory but the way they have played they can feel proud and can keep their heads high.
What happened in the final
Australia won the toss and without any hesitation, Aaron Finch elected to bowl 1st. Josh Hazlewood got rid of the hero of the last match Daryl Mitchell early and New Zealand went into the rebuilding phase. Martin Guptill couldn't get going and played one of the slowest innings of 28 from 35 after that there was a master class of batting from Kiwi Skipper Kane Williamson. Josh Hazlewood dropped his catch on just 17 off Mitchell Starc and after that, he was just unstoppable he got 85 from just 48 balls to get his side to a good total and New Zealand finished on 172.

In the chase Australia lost Finch earlier and after that, there was another batting master class from Mitchel Marsh who started with a six on his very 1st ball and after that, he was just ruthless and David Warner was also brutal from the other end. They didn't have a single chance to come back in the game. The battle was between New Zealand spinners and Australian batters but these 2 crushed them Ish Sodhi finished with 0/40 in just 3 overs and Santner 0/25 in 3 overs and that's seal the deal for Aussies. Bout got 2 wickets and Marsh scored 77 from 50 balls and David Warner also got 50 and then some little cameo from Glenn Maxwell.

Mitchell Marsh was the man of the match and David Warner was the Man of the tournament.
So that's it from ICC T20 World Cup but we are heading towards bilateral series now and cricket will just keep coming in our way
New Zealand Vs Australia India starting from 17th November and Pakistan Vs Bangladesh starting from 19th November so there will be some entertainment for us.
